We have worked through the administrative process to assist members who are stranded abroad on layover outside of Canada. We have created a Google form which will need to be filled out.
We understand how difficult it is to be away from crew base and not being able to return. We reiterate that your Union is here to provide support. Please fill out the attached form to request financial assistance for hotel charges for room and taxes only (if employer does not continue to pay), per diems up to a maximum of $100 CDN per day (if the employer ceases to provide them), or transportation to crew base for extenuating personal reasons only. There may also be some of our junior members who are not able to pay their meal expenses and who need help. Please fill out all fields in the attached form and we will confirm and verify your submissions.
